Markos Williams

Contemporary Ballet, Lyrical and Jazz

Markos Williams is a guest teacher and choreographer. Born and raised in Hattiesburg, Mississippi he received his dance training from multiple outlets. He has been dancing for over a span of 14 years and has trained in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Hip Hop.  He has competed at both the regional and national level where he has won many top awards.. In high school he also performed and traveled with the award winning Oak Grove Centerstage Show Choir where he was the Dance Captain for three years. From his time with Oak Grove Centerstage he received the award for Best Male Stage Presence at Fame Nationals in Orlando Florida. In 2012 He was named Forrest General’s Day of Dance winner in 2012. Markos has also been a featured dancer in multiple  Miss Hospitality Pageants in South Mississippi. He has also choreographed for Lamar and Forrest County Distinguished Young Women Programs in South Mississippi. He has been  teaching in competitive dance for over a span of ten  years where he has won many awards both at the regional and national level. He has choreographed for many competitive studios, dance teams, and show choirs along the South East, where he has won top regional and national titles.  Over his time teaching and choreographing he has received more than 15 choreography awards for his choreography in Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz, & Hip Hop. In 2018 Markos was invited to become apart of MDLA (Mississippi Dance Leader Alliance) an organization that focuses on bringing together dance professionals to educate others who have a love for dance.  Over the last two years Markos has been able to advance his training  at Broadway Dance Center in New York City and Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles. He has also done work in television where he was able to choreograph a small Broadway/Musical Theater number for Uptv Television Network for a  show called Small Town Big Mayor.
