Lex (Alexa) Dorohoy was born in a small suburb in Washington State. She discovered her passion for dance at age 13 and threw herself into competitive styles. She trained from ballet and contemporary to jazz, musical theatre and hip hop. Before turning 18, Alexa traveled on scholarship to New York City, where worked closely with the cast/choreographer of hit musical series SMASH. Once graduated, she moved to Los Angeles for a career in dance. She mentee’d under Beyonce’s choreographer, Dana Foglia, and Seattle native Cameron Lee. Shortly after, Alexa’s career flourished with performance and choreography opportunities. Alexa’s loyalty and professional relationships reflect her versatility and hard work in the industry to this day. She is a dancer, creative director, choreographer and master teacher across the country. Alexa assisted choreography for Disney’s Descendants Dance Party under the direction of Nappytabs Creative, and featured in Descendants franchise newest upcoming film, “The Rise of Red”. She’s worked as a backup dancer for Paula Abdul, 2019 PRIDE Festival headlined in Los Angeles and again in the creative vision for Paula Abdul’s Las Vegas Residency “Forever your Girl”. She’s danced headlined shows as a cast member of America’s Got Talent light show sensation “iLuminate”, and features credits such as Disney+, DanceOn, Walmart and more. Having knowledge of both stage and behind the scenes production, Alexa bases her professional career in Atlanta, GA. She looks forward each year in bringing her communities together with love for dance, art and athletistry!
