Jamie Fazzio is an accomplished teacher and choreographer. A Louisiana native, she is known for raising the standard of tap training in the region, blending technical precision, musicality, and innovation in every work she creates. Jamie serves on faculty for a thriving competitive dance studio, where she leads and develops a growing tap program, working with dancers of all ages to build both technical excellence and a deep appreciation for the art form. She has competed at both regional and national levels and previously served as choreographer for a high school dance team, creating award-winning routines while mentoring young dancers in performance and discipline. Jamie attended Southeastern Louisiana University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing while continuing to pursue her passion for dance. Committed to lifelong learning, Jamie regularly travels to train and study with respected artists. She has trained in New York City at Steps on Broadway and at tap festivals such as RIFF Dallas with renowned tap masters including Dianne Walker, Sarah Reich, Anthony Morigerato, Derick Grant, Charles Renato, and Elizabeth Burke. She is also a member of the Southern Open Rhythm Collective, further demonstrating her commitment to advancing and preserving the art of rhythm tap. Jamie’s choreography has earned top overall placements along with choreography awards and IDA nominations for Best Tap. She is passionate about sharing both the technique and rich history of tap dance while inspiring the next generation of rhythm artists.
