Karla Zaldivar has been a professional teacher and choreographer for the past 12 years.  She has been the owner and Artistic Director of Constellations Dance academy since 2019. Karla’s love for dance started with a focus on dance teams. Shortly after graduation in 2010 she attended Northwest Florida State College on a dance scholarship as she simultaneously worked for the Universal Dance Association, working around the country with top teams. As well as a working as a ballroom instructor & professional competitor at Fred Astaire dance studios where she placed top 3 Nationally in the Mixed novice division. Later on she became the assistant coach/ head coach and choreographer for multiple middle schools and high schools in her home town of Fort Walton Beach. Her main passion is currently running her up and coming studio, Constellations Dance Academy, but she still travels across the country to work with dance teams and studios. As a Dance Teacher, Karla aims to create a learning environment that is positive, fun and exciting, while still working to improve each individual’s skill level. Karla loves to share her passion for dance with her students and wants to ensure that her students are always comfortable, encouraged and productively motivated.
