Macy Ridenoure began professionally teaching dance 5 years ago but has been a dancer for a total of 15 years. She began dancing at the age of 5 and then began competing at the age of 7. Macy won her very first regional title at 7 and then her first national title when she was 8 years old. During her pre-professional dance career, she grew up winning a multitude of regional and national titles. One of her biggest accomplishments was being selected to be a part of Team USA where she went to compete at the International Dance Organization in Poland. Being one of the two soloists selected for Team USA, Macy was only 16 when she placed 7th in the world. After securing her spot as 7th in the world, she then moved on to become an assistant choreographer for Team USA. After graduating high school, Macy decided to further her dance education by signing with a college dance team, the Mississippi Gulf Coast Perkettes. While at college, she began choreographing for local studios as well as teaching at various intensives and master classes. Upon moving home, Macy began teaching and choreographing at her beloved home studio located in Mobile, Alabama. She specializes in technique training as well as flexibility training, ballet, jazz and lyrical. As a dance teacher, she always provides an encouraging and positive atmosphere in her classes. Macy strives to share her passion and love for dance with her students!
