Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Technique, Stretch/Conditioning

Heather Nicholas grew up in Houston, TX where her parents owned a dance studio for 30 years. She grew up training at their family owned studio, then went on to be a Kilgore College Rangerette and Swingster. She moved to Los Angeles at 19 to further her dance training with the fabulous faculties at Edge, The Dance Center, Moro Landis, and PAC. Heather had some wonderful performance opportunities with Blu Sol Dance Company and N2it Dance Company as well as getting to do commercial work and other various acting jobs while enjoying her time in LA. She moved back to Houston where she directed the studio and dance company for 18 years. Lake Houston PAC was known for their technique, choreography creativity, and versatility in styles. Heather judged for various competitions on her off weekends for several years before launching her dance competition, 8 National Talent Competition. 8 is now in it’s 10th season and she was excited to add Motiv8 Dance Convention to the schedule just a few years in. 8 and Motiv8 are both fun and positive events that the dancers love getting to be a part of. Heather and the faculty love getting to know the studios and enjoy watching the kids grow each year on their stage. Heather has been married to her husband, Chris for 21 years and they have 6 children. Selling the studios a few years ago has allowed her to still do master classes, choreography, direct 8 and Motiv8, but also still get a lot of time with her family and their activities. Heather enjoys being a huge part of the dance community and loves helping dancers from all over reach their training goals!
